The leadership is primarily essential in order to be able to think strategically and successfully implement strategic management. The capability of strategic thinking of a leader who does not have vision and mission is limited.
Just as it was in the wars, we think that leadership and strategic management have a place in succeeding in today's globalization and the overwhelming competition environment.
There is no doubt that the organizations that understand the importance of strategic management and bent on implementing it will increase their performance levels in an increasingly intense competitive environment day by day. The leader and senior management must primarily believe in the importance and benefit of strategic thinking and strategic planning in order for strategic management to be successfully implemented in organizations. Presuming to implement strategic management in the organization without the belief and support of the leader and senior management will not yield a result.The strategic management is a function of senior management above all.
For the implementation of strategic management in the organization, A committee should be established under the name of Strategic Management Executive Committee in senior management for the implementation of strategic management in the organization.
The leader and senior managers who are at the head of the organization should perform a duty within the body of this committee. As well as this senior institutional structuring, working groups should be formed to ensure the implementation and control of strategic management in the middle and junior levels of management. The strategists should be assigned to this working groups and they should closely monitor works which are carried out in the middle and junior levels.
